The Warriors’ season turns 50 games old tonight, as Steve Nash and the Suns visit Oracle in a game between two fringe playoff teams (a perhaps generous characterization).

The Suns are currently a game and a half ahead of the Warriors in the standings, so this is a game the Dubs need to win to keep their dwindling playoff hopes alive.

Coming off arguable their best win of the season — and certainly their best team defensive performance — the Warriors will have plenty of momentum to draw off of tonight. Can they make it two good wins — and four overall — in a row?

UPDATE:(By Jake) Adding just a touch to the pre-game because this is the first game I have looked forward to watching for some time. Maybe it is the DayQuil/NyQuil combo talking though. The keys to this game for me are certainly whether or not Curry can keep his turnovers down and whether the Warrior’s can win the FT battle again. Will Curry and Monta be able to contain Nash (on his birthday) and maybe more importantly can the Warrior’s defense keep the Suns big men from hitting the outside shots? I worry about Channing Fry raining down 3′s as the Warriors fail to rotate and then give up offensive rebounds on his misses. I hope to see a total over 220, but it seems that the Warrior’s are winning more when the total is closer to 205.

Jesus, I go out to get soup and come back to 22-8. I guess I jinxed this one and I see Frye has already hit 3 from behind the arc. Joy.

  • Jake

    D-Wright 0-8!

  • Christian

gotta get this in single digits by halftime or GOODBYE

  • Christian

    damn that Pietrus

    • Jake

Maybe he will step on the endline to make us feel better.

  • Jake

Yeah Bob, when I think of fitness I think of Grant Hill.

  • Jake

There are a hell of a lot of empty seats already.

  • Christian

why are all the starters in

    • Jake

I was asking myself the same thing, but I think it is the mistaken HAVE to win every game mentality which may cause them to actually win less games by playing your starters in lost games and not having them as rested as they could be for the next game.

      • Christian

even if you are not”giving up” you should be taking Monta out for ~ 5 minutes

  • Christian

this game is silly and out of control

  • Jake

Not that it is the difference in the game but the refs really suck tonight. On a positive side Udoh 4th quarter minutes have been quite productive. He looks like the only guy on the floor that gives a shit.

  • Jake

Man the place wanted to guts there, but no miss three shots in a row.

  • Jake

    8 POINT GAME

  • Jake

    STOP TAKING 3 POINT SHOTS

  • Christian

if ANYONE can hit an open 3…

  • Jake

Or hit a fucking free throw.

  • Jake

    5 POINT GAME

  • Jake

Who do you take to miss the next 3 point attempt? Well Radman misses one as I typed that so next miss is by Monta. And damn Frye 3′s. Didn’t realize it would be so bad when I wrote it in the pregame

    • Jake

      Damn it was Curry

  • Jake

14 POINT GAME?!? That was fast.

  • Jake

13 point game. Take 1 off the board!

  • Christian

    AWESOME

  • Christian

love the rage that Barnett had at the W’s not finding Reggie Williams

    • Jake

Pretty funny but correct. Williams has had a great 20 minutes.

  • Christian

good job putting David Lee back in teh game

  • Jake

    Wow that sucked.
