Of course it had to be Monta with the dagger at the end.

After last night’s blowout, would be great to see a nice rebound tonight. Let’s hope they bring more energy, but you know that Monta’s gonna be ready to “send a message” to his former team.

Great win — always nice to play a road team when they’re on a back to back of course, but that’s life in the NBA and this was still a huge victory to get under the belt. And to do it without doing anything special shooting-wise makes it even sweeter.

The Warriors are now on pace for a 52-win season, and have passed what is arguably the toughest stretch of their schedule. They still have a few east coast roadies but the games shift back to the winnable variety. And with the easy close to the season to still look forward to, breaking the 50-mark is starting to look more and more inevitable. Which is pretty shocking to say considering this team’s history.

Big test tonight as we hit the half-way point on the season, with the best team in the conference coming to Oakland. OKC is an interesting challenge as they don’t have the large inside presence that has given the Warriors trouble this year, so in theory the dubs should be able to hang with them. But then again the talent disparity is pretty wide, so the chances of a Miami-style blowout are arguably more likely than a close game. Let’s hope Lee and Curry’s ankles are doing better, because they’re going to need them tonight.

Matinee today, in a game that would be great to get as the blowout at the hands of the Clippers really kicked off this rough stretch for the Warriors. Health will be important — not sure if they can get it done without a healthy Curry and Lee, much less without them.

Hardly dominant, but a much-needed win to stop the slide. And especially nice to do it with Lee out.
