Can’t say I’m optimistic about this one, especially since I’m hoping they hold Curry out again (PLEASE don’t rush him back this year). The Warriors are going to need to be fully healthy and running on all cylinders to finally end their epic losing streak in San Antonio, and neither one is the case going into tonight.

A bit of luster off of this one with the news that Curry is likely out with another ankle sprain. I hope they just keep him out and take their lumps — this has sure L written all over it given the previous victory over Miami and the fact that the Heat got killed in Utah on Monday. If the Warriors win tonight (especially if they do it without Curry), then my opinion of the Heat as a title contender is going to be seriously diminished…

The Warriors look to get back on track and avoid their first 3-game skid of the year — and it will be important to get a win tonight as they have to travel to Denver for a game against the Nuggets on Sunday and we’ve seen how poorly they match up against that opponent. This is their first game against the Blazers this year so it will be fun to see what the Damian Lillard hype is all about. Let’s just hope he doesn’t embarrass the Warriors backcourt, as his speed could cause Curry some serious problems.

Been a while since we’ve seen this much red in the net comparison line. That -26 points-in-the paint tells most of the story, along with the -7 on o-rebounds leading to -17 in shot attempts.

It’s sort of an odd situation in that it’s clear at this point that the Warriors need an elite defensive big to fix their biggest weakness and get them to the next level, typically the hardest piece to find — and yet they kinda have exactly that in Bogut if he ever gets healthy. I hope he does, as he could make this team really special. But until then, the Warriors will continue to struggle against these sorts of matchups.

The Warriors have only had one 2-game losing streak this year, and they face a big challenge tonight to avoid their second. Memphis is exactly the sort of team that’s going to give the Warriors problems until Bogut returns, and Ezeli, Barnes, and Lee are going to have their work cut out for them tonight against Gasol and Randolph. Let’s hope they’ve put the down-time since the Clippers meltdown to good use…

Wowee, that’s what a statistical smoking looks like! Less said about this one the better — let’s just hope this was a bump in the road and not a reversion to the mean…
